Roots

Dagitab was founded by a group of engineering students from UP Diliman and Ateneo, brought together by a common desire to use their various skills to help improve the landscape of the Philippine economy. What we observed was a vast wealth of local IT and programming talent but most of it diverted to working for large foreign companies, with the rest of the business community often making do with outdated or manual information systems.

We saw that standard packaged software and other types of business process applications are far too expensive, requiring costly certification, training, and extensive technical support, not to mention being very difficult to adapt to the specific workflow and business processes of smaller companies.

Thus, our group embarked on a mission to make the benefits of IT accessible to all types of organizations, providing affordable business software solutions customized to their specific need. Naming our company after the Tagalog word for electricity, Dagitab is composed energetic, and highly accomplished engineers, programmers, and business consultants, all eager to fulfill our charge as "enablers" of the Filipino business community.

Technology

Dagitab is proud to have on its team, certified software developers as well as seasoned web programmers working together to build our products. One of our company's thrusts is to maintain a high level of technical expertise among our staff, thus our developers are continuously working on the latest technologies and open-source development frameworks to provide the best solution to meet our clients' needs. Our development team currently specializes on Java EE and web-related technologies including Spring, Hibernate and AJAX among many others.

Business Application Suite

Our Business Application Suite is a collection of customizable modules for different business functions. Our technology platform allows integration of these modules into a single system that enables business organizations to share and process data more efficiently across departments. The software is web-based, database driven and runs on any Java EE compliant application server. The following modules are currently available:

• Product Design — Product creation, costing, product categories
• Purchasing — Supplier maintenance, purchase requisites approval, purchase order and forwarding of payment information to accounting.
• Production — Job orders, performance sheets, material routing
• Accounting — Accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, customizable chart of accounts, reports
• Inventory — Quantity/Cost tracking, FIFO/averaging, goods receipt, issuance and returning, fixed assets.
• HR/Admin — Personal information sheet maintenance, daily time record, payroll, overtime, benefits, government compliance

Point of Sale System

Our Point of Sale system comes with the standard retailing features and is fully integrated with an inventory management module. Our system is certified by BIR and accredited by different shopping malls in Metro Manila. Our system can be deployed over Virtual Private Network or through common internet connectivity so retailers can synchronize their inventory data and transactions across multiple branches in real time.

Website Development

We design feature-rich websites that are customizable through user-friendly content management systems. Our web solution features out-of-the-box online product listing, shopping cart and payment gateway solution.

Non-Technical Services

We also provide services such as a business process review in conjunction with designing and implementing computerized management information systems. This is to ensure that our applications eliminate rather than perpetuate existing inefficiencies in their systems. This brings a whole new dimension to our claim of being a genuine one-stop shop for IT services.

Hiring Software Developers

As part of Dagitab's commitment, we do our very best to provide a venue for our local programming talents to express their ingenuity so they won't need to go abroad for work.

We do not hire based on a specific list of buzzwords on your resume, though we happen to use mostly Java to build our products today. We expect our applicants to have an in-depth knowledge of whatever technology they've been using and we expect that they will be able to master any technology that we need in the future.
